Stephen Carney is the principal of Carney Associates. Prior to establishing the firm in 1979, he worked as a senior Ministerial adviser in the Fraser Government.
He has excellent relationships on all sides of politics, with the Canberra bureaucracy, the Federal Press Gallery and the heads of national industry organisations, as well with the most senior levels in corporate Australia.
Stephen has provided strategic government relations advice to some of Australia’s largest companies and institutions in sectors ranging across defence, transport and aviation, telecommunications, media, banking and financial services, medical research and higher education.
